re: adam carolla

ok, ok, that was so 3 weeks ago or something but you know what, the garbage that spewed out of his mouth still resonates.  now, i don’t know a lot about podcasts, but i do believe that often times they cost nothing and are uncensored.  although adam carolla said what he said, he’s not the only person with those views.  i wouldn’t be surprised if there are other podcasts, blogs, youtube videos, etc. with similar folks saying the same thing.  and by same, i don’t mean, “manny pacquiao prays to chicken bones,” or that “the philippines is just about sex tours… and manny pacquiao,” verbatim.  there are so many ways to (knowingly or not) speak ignorantly.  of course there is a bigger commotion amongst the people when a celebrity speaks this way.  i never liked adam carolla.  i had no interest in him.  i never thought he was funny or entertaining in any way whatsoever.  and for him to go off the way he did was… a mixture of emotions.  i mean, he already comes off as a douchebag that what he said didn’t really make my blood boil.  i wasn’t surprised.  but i was still pissed.  to him and to all no name knuckleheads that continue this cycle of colonization, i don’t ask for your apologies.  they mean shit to me.  i don’t ask you for anything.  instead, i challenge you to take those images you have of my ancestors home and ask yourself, why is it like that?  if you think that all the philippines is… is manny pacquiao and sex tours, why not talk about why that is?  how dare you tell my people to get their shit together when the folks you roll with are probably to blame.

with that said, to all you folks that found his podcast entertaining in the slightest bit, i challenge you as well.

to all my folks that got angry, i challenge you as well.

there are spaces for enlightenment.  there are spaces for real talk.  it’s one thing to be angry and say fuck you.  and it’s another thing to get some real growth out of a situation.

i challenge you all to grow and progress.
